Providing the most efficient form of fiber optic cable distribution, OptoSpan multi-fiber MTP Cables support 8 individual fibers to up to 144 individual fibers in a single high performance MPO connector known as the MTP fiber connector designed by US Conec®. Maintaining a secure physical connection due to its improved design, the MTP fiber connectors on each OptoSpan MTP Cable is able to provide unparalleled performance. All while maintaining a remarkably high fiber density.
OptoSpan’s fiber counts of 8, 12 and 24 MTP cables feature a new and exclusive FiberShield design. Designed with a stronger 4.5mm cable structure along with an additional layer of Kevlar and 3x the protective jacket. This makes FiberShield cables 5x stronger than any other ordinary 3.0 mm MTP cable.
Further refinement of the standard MTP® design has resulted in the MTP Elite® connector produced by U.S. Conec® and is able to deliver the lowest signal loss currently available by implementing various new technologies. Such advancements in their mechanical structure have allowed improvements such as sturdy rounded metal pins attached to an internal clamp, floating ferrules to maintain a firm physical connection, and oval shaped springs to prevent internal fiber damage.
Each high performance MTP Cable has been carefully put together with authentic components sourced directly from U.S. Conec®. Every OptoSpan provided assembly has been constructed in an ISO 14000 Class-7 clean room. Using complete MTP fiber connectors (both ferrule and housing), and will receive its own unique serial number, and industrial grade test report. Corresponding technical diagrams provided to the customer upon request.

In addition to the improved MTP cable connector design, our MTP fiber cable assemblies may be paired with specialty jackets and insulation provided by OptoSpan. Among these specialty jackets available on OptoSpan’s MTP cables include Armored jackets, bend insensitive jackets, and Plenum Insulation which may be required by local building regulations.
