OptoSpan offers standalone optical transceiver modules and active optical cables (AOC) or Direct Attached fiber optic cables (DAC) in a wide variety of configurations and OEM compatibilities. Cisco and other OEM Compatibility is assured with the Platinum OEM compatible line of transceivers and Active Optical Cables. Standard form-factors like SFP and SFP+ as well as the latest state-of-the-art 40G/100G qsfp+ and CFP are available. Active Optical Cables (AOC) use electrical-to-optical conversion to improve speed and distance performance without sacrificing compatibility with standard electrical interfaces. Featuring the highest speeds and longest distances, OptoSpan transceivers present premium quality and compatibility for any system.

Active optical cables (AOC) use electrical-to-optical conversion to improve speed and distance performance without sacrificing compatibility with standard electrical interfaces.

OptoSpan offers a complete line of AOC cables designed for any interface. With higher bandwidth and a reach up to 100 meters, OptoSpan AOCs offer better performance than regular copper cables at a fraction of the cost of other providers. All cables are built with a lighter weight design, EMI immunity, lower interconnection and power consumption and with optical/electrical connection according to QSFP+ and SFP+ Multi-Source Agreements.
